Your assessment will be an individual written assessment on change management practice in your own/or a case organisation (100%, 3,000 words) (MLO1/ML02/MLO3/ MLO4/MLO5))

 

Considering the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), critically evaluate your own/or a case organisation’s position with regard to those goals and how you could design and lead a change process in your organisation to meet a select subset of SDGs.

 

The student is required to critically evaluate their own organisation’s current level of understanding of and contribution to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). (30 Mark)

You need to identify 3-5 UN’s 17 SDGs that have the most relevance to your organisation that you would want to achieve. Using Burnes (2017) framework for management, leadership and change and the force field analysis, plan a change process to enhance the contribution of your organisation to the selected SDGs, drawing on literature and debates about the types of leadership that is needed in the context of the SDGs. Pay particular attention to issues, which may include:

  • Unforeseen consequences of planned organizational change,
  • Resistance,
  • Political processes, negotiations,
  • Ambiguities, diverse interpretations, and misunderstandings. (70 mark)
