General psychotherapy intervention has developed a strong and supportive body of evidence despite its very discretionary and subjective nature. However, this evidence doesn’t necessarily apply to all of its subsets, which particularly includes grief counselling, for which the case is greatly hindered by a number of confounding variables and lacking evidence specific to that form of therapy (ADEC, n.d.).
