The strategy for achieving the desired policy outcome address
Imagine you are assisting your boss in a political party office or advocacy group with the development of a plan for achievement of a specific policy outcome. The final project for this course involves researching a state policy issue of your choice and determining possible solutions. You will be tasked with creating an outline that will inform a final plan designed to achieve adoption of the chosen policy outcome or desired goal. As such, you will choose a state level policy goal and also analyze strategies that will lead to its potential adoption.
Your policy issue can be related to topics such as health care, the environment, tax reform, energy policy, agriculture, infrastructure, K-12 education, higher education, criminal justice, or welfare/social services. These issues serve as examples, as other issues may also be appropriate for this assignment. The project is divided into two milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. Also, these milestones will be submitted in Modules Two and Four. The final submission will occur in Module Seven.
